Brailled Teflon tags in my clothes to color-code them; I just pin them in with safety pins its super helpful!
Tape player to listen to books on tape and to record important
information and classes.
I use a Braillewriter, slate and stylist to write Braille.
I use a scanner to scan documents and then a screen reading computer program to read the documents to me.
I use a Braille Lite personal digital assistant for my phone numbers, addresses, appointment book and basic word processing. It is also the best way for me to read electronic textbooks or something scanned because I can carry it with me in my Braille Lite and read it or have it read to me so I dont need to have my computer to read.
My cell phone helps me travel I feel safer. Its a huge convenience if I get lost because I can call the place I am going and get directions, its really helpful.
The most important AT I use is the internet. I communicate by email mostly I do shopping online, I can read my receipt, see what is on sale, see all the items on the rack, have access to the internet and email.
The difference that Assistive Technology makes is that I can live
work independently. Its a lot of work, but Im able to do it!
